This tour was amazing 🤩 the tour leader Ege was great. He was very knowledgeable and professional. We visited some amazing places including Gallipoli and Ankara. The driver was also courteous and friendly. I would totally recommend this tour.

The guide was great !

Every day was filled with interesting sites, activities, food and bus drives. Ege was a very kind, understanding and knowledgeable guide. He was very inclusive; we all started as strangers and became friends.

Both the tour leader Ege and driver are very professional and informative. Learned a lot of cultures, heritage ,the life of Turkey and the people here.

We were 4 South Africans travelling together to Turkey for the first time. We found the tour well planned. The hotels were of high standards and we had enough comfort breaks. I would recommend the tour to anyone. Ege was a good tour leader and our bus driver the best I ever seen.

Wander the markets of the Grand Bazaar in Istanbul, explore early churches, ferry from Europe to Asia, stand in awe under the domes of beautiful mosques, explore an underground Roman cistern, walk through cities built into rock, watch a sunrise launch of hundreds of Hot Air balloons over a surreal landscape.

Great tour using Expatexplore! Wonderful guide, Ege, shared his love of Turkey, the history , his support and caring fun nature . Made new friends from around the world , stayed in good hotels and lots of dinners included. The bus driver was incredible too. Highly recommend

Just got back from Highlights of Turkey tour and it was anything but life changing. I was very confident about taking this tour to begin with especially after reading good reviews for tour guide Ege (woohoo!!!). And I guess...the experience exceeded my expectations. I definitely recommend this tour for those who long for adventure, history, time travel, immersion with locals, and (ehem) cute kitties and doggos! I come back to UK with much love for Turkey. Visiting the country wasn't just a tick in the bucket list. It was crazy, spiritual, mystical, physical (lol), and I dunno...cosmic. It wouldn't be fun if not of my tour mates turned family (we were 29!). And of course, Ege...I can still hear his voice in my head hahaha. Surely, one of the best tour guides ever! He's passionate about his homeland and cared for us in what could have been a hectic 10 days. Also, thanks to Sehrat, our driver who drove so smooth...not to mention his bus with WiFi (yes!). I'll definitely miss everyone but

Even before I left my country for this tour, our tour guide Ege, was already communicating with me and informing me of what weather to expect and what clothes to bring. We were 12 in the tour and each one of us felt Ege's genuine care and concern for each one of us from Day 1. He has such a big heart and his love for his country is admirable and I learned so much of Turkey because of him. I got cough and colds during the tour and he immediately gave me his own medicine that he takes along with him. I also celebrated my birthday during this tour and he arranged a surprise birthday cake for me! Because of Ege's warm and fun personality, all of us in the tour had a great time together. We all felt like family by the end of the tour. Our driver, Mujo, drives very well. He is also very kind and always smiling. The tour was so worth it and full of fun. Our tour guide Ege was very knowledgeable about the history and best places in Turkey and passionate with his job. He made sure that all our concerns are addressed and accommodated our demands. Our driver Ylma was very friendly, always smiling and very good driver. Overall, we had a great time!

The sights in Turkey are amazing! We did so much during our 10 days! Unfortunately, there were some HUGE communications errors that resulted in some significant anxieties and inconveniences for many of us on the trip. Tour leader Ege is such a kind soul, and handled these mishaps professionally and with grace. Our driver was careful safe, and got us where we needed to be in a timely manner. Problems seemed to occur as a result of Expat using a contracting tour company (Fez Travel). This was my 6th Expat Explore tour, and I would observe that the overall quality of MOST of the hotels was not up to Expat's standards. The 15 passenger van was new and our driver was very friendly, accommodating, and just a nice guy. Ege did a great job, and sorted through some sticky situations very well.i am thinking that about 2 days more would allow for more leisurely driving days. 5 hours or more in the 15 person van was uncomfortable, that's all there is to it.
