If you're looking for a well balanced, yet fast paced taste of Eastern (central) Europe. This is a phenomenal way to do it. Everything is well thought through, the included tours and experiences were great for the price paid. And with the optional extras and friends you make, you can set the rest of the pace of your holiday.

We absolutely LOVED Croatia and all along the Coast AND Rivers. Anywhere there was water, it was beautiful. Dubrovnik, a 10! The Horses in Hungary, a 10! Budapest, a 10! Do ALL the optionals!!! Make sure to do the Dubrovnik cruise. It was OUTSTANDING! And the Budapest cruise! And the Prague cruise!!! Oh, and make sure you do the Night out in Prague to the Folklore dinner...it was a 10 too!!!!! And our Tour Leader Igor (Ingvar) Maximus SOOO NICE, SO KIND, SO THOUGHTFUL, SO PATIENT, I WISH WE COULD HAVE HIM OR ROMA ON EVERY TOUR! PLEASE KEEP IGOR AND GIVE HIM MANY TOURS TO LEAD. UNLESS YOU'RE THERE WITH HIM EVERY DAY, YOU HAVE NO IDEA HOW GOOD THIS MAN IS

We covered a lot of ground both by coach and foot. There were early mornings and some late nights, but there were opportunities to take it easy if needed as well. However, every moment had worth. Our tour leader Lee was an incredible storyteller with a contagious passion for his home country of Scotland. Our coach drivers Oliver and Ben were amazing at maneuvering the tight roads. If all trips are as organized and full of once in a lifetime experiences as this trip, I will be taking more!

Well worth it, especially because you stay at each hotel 2 nights and get a whole free day to see the cities! The hotels and ferries (except only one hotel) were amazing! Our tour guide Inga and driver Csaba were great the wholes 21 days, polite, friendly and professional, they are best tour guide and driver I ever had after so many tours! The locations and cities are all top as you can see on the map, so much highlights, attractions, history and you will never be bored, such a great way to go around for 21 days! Anything included like tours and dinners were really decent and extra optionals you really have to decide for yourself I did half the extra optionals and mostly been good.

Highly recommended, the places visited are underrated but are amazing!

The Expat Europe Taster Tour was great. We saw a lot of stuff in a very short amount of time. The tour leader, Ricardo went above and beyond in making sure everyone was comfortable and safe. He also had a vast knowledge of everywhere we went and everything we did. Sebastian was and excellent coach driver. He could get the coach in and out of anywhere. I highly recommend this trip and Expat.

Dewi (our guide) & Hans (our driver) were both amazing partners. Hans was the best driver, patient & kind. He is very helpful especially with the luggage of the group. Dewi, on the other hand is an amazing tour guide. Her deep knowledge, passion, and engaging storytelling really brought the history and culture to life. She has great local recommendations, and even goes above and beyond to make our vacation seamless & memorable.

This tour was amazing ? the tour leader Ege was great. He was very knowledgeable and professional. We visited some amazing places including Gallipoli and Ankara. The driver was also courteous and friendly. I would totally recommend this tour.

We had Gabi as our tour guide and Isti as our driver. They are both amazing. It was our first time in a tour and they gave as a very good impression of how the tour would be. This will be the beginning of more tour with Expat. The restaurants that we went to had a very good and delicious food. We are so happy.

April 2026 - Ireland/Northern Ireland with Inga and Sean. Like all of the other Expat Tours that I've taken, this one, my 5th, again exceeded my expectations. The itinerary was fantastic. We saw so many places with ample time at each spot. Our guide, Inga, was very knowledgeable about Irish history and told interesting stories (some to be taken with a grain of salt) about the places we visited. She also sings beautifully and treated us to a few songs, some serious and some amusing, along the way. Our driver, Sean, was amazing in his ability to maneuver the huge bus around the narrow and windy roads of Ireland. I felt very safe the entire way. Some tours are included and others are optional. This is good because it allows travelers to explore a city on their own, if they prefer. I booked every optional tour that was offered on this trip and I felt that they were well worth the cost. Expat Explore has done it again. Highlights of Japan is a wonderful tour. Our late March trip happened at the perfect time for cherry blossom season - we were very lucky. The tour is full of activities, and I recommend all the optional activities, especially an Evening in Kyoto where a geisha entertained us with dance and games. The 13 days are packed. And our tour leader Ken and assistant Masako were so organized, informative and friendly that we were able to see and experience so much more than what other tours of the same length offer. They are awesome. You are up early and putting in many steps during the day, you have to go home to relax! Wow that was fun, one of the best that Expat offers.
